3. Important Disclaimers

3.1 Not Medical or Legal Advice

The Service does not provide medical, legal, or professional admissions consulting advice. All information provided through MedSchools.ai is for general informational and educational purposes only. We are not a licensed admissions consulting firm, and our AI-generated content should not be considered professional advice.

3.2 No Guarantee of Admission

We do not guarantee admission to any medical school. The use of our Service does not guarantee acceptance into any medical school program. Admissions decisions are made solely by the respective medical schools based on their own criteria.

3.3 Data Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of all data. Medical school statistics, requirements, and deadlines may change without notice. Users should verify all information directly with the respective medical schools.

3.4 AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate recommendations, feedback, and content. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. Users are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before use in applications.

4. User Accounts and Responsibilities

4.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4.3 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account with others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Submit false, misleading, or plagiarized content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including essays, personal statements, and application materials ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

5.2 Content Guidelines

User Content must be your own original work. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and its accuracy. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

5.3 Plagiarism Warning

Do not submit AI-generated content directly to medical schools without significant personal revision. Medical schools use plagiarism detection software and may reject applications containing unoriginal content. You are solely responsible for ensuring your applications represent your authentic voice and experiences.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by MedSchools.ai and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Subscription, Payments, and Refunds

8.1 Free and Paid Features

Some features of the Service are available for free, while others require a paid subscription. Subscription terms, pricing, and features are described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time; existing subscribers will be notified of changes before their next billing cycle.

8.2 Trial Periods

Certain subscription plans may include a trial period (e.g., 3 days for $1). During the trial, you have full access to paid features. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, you will be automatically charged the full subscription price. Trial offers are limited to one per user and may not be combined with other promotions.

8.3 Billing and Renewal

By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee.

Monthly subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

Application Cycle (annual) subscriptions are one-time payments that provide 12 months of access. They do not automatically renew. If you wish to continue after 12 months, you may purchase a new subscription.

We use Stripe as our payment processor. Your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is not stored on our servers. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method.

8.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
  • Your subscription will not renew, and no further charges will be made
  • Your account will revert to the Free tier after the paid period ends
  • Your data and content will be retained and accessible on the Free tier

8.5 Refund Policy

Trial Period: If you cancel during a trial period, you will not be charged the full subscription price. The trial fee (e.g., $1) is non-refundable.

Monthly Subscriptions: We offer a 7-day satisfaction guarantee for new monthly subscribers. If you are not satisfied within the first 7 days after your trial converts to a paid subscription, contact us at support@medschools.ai for a full refund of that month's charge. After 7 days, monthly subscription fees are non-refundable, but you may cancel to prevent future charges.

Application Cycle (Annual): We offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee for new Application Cycle subscribers. If you are not satisfied within the first 14 days after your trial converts to a paid subscription, contact us for a full refund. After 14 days, Application Cycle subscriptions are non-refundable. Since this is a one-time payment with no auto-renewal, no cancellation is necessary. No pro-rated refunds are provided for unused portions.

Add-on Services: Add-on services such as Interview Practice follow the same refund policy as monthly subscriptions (7-day satisfaction guarantee).

Exceptions: Refunds are not available for accounts terminated due to Terms of Service violations. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that appear fraudulent or abusive.

8.6 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again over the following days. If payment continues to fail, your subscription may be suspended or downgraded to the Free tier. We are not responsible for any loss of access due to failed payments.

8.7 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes for existing subscribers will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following notice of the change. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEDSCHOOLS.AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of admission opportunities
  • Rejection from medical schools
  • Errors in AI-generated content
  • Data inaccuracies
  • Service interruptions
  • Any other damages arising from the use of our Service

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MedSchools.ai, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MedSchools.ai regarding the use of the Service.
