Interview Day Overview

All 2025-26 KU SOM interview days will take place virtually. Interviewees will receive access to a private site with interview day information: the admissions process and timelines, financial aid information, presentations from our Office of Student Engagement, and education deans. Additionally, interviewees will be invited to attend virtual Q&A sessions with current medical students. On-campus Second Look Days will be offered for all three campuses, and final dates will be sent to applicants who are interviewed.

Interview Invite Timeline

Most schools begin sending invitations September–October on a rolling basis. Earlier is better — submit your primary early. Schools with rolling admissions fill seats throughout the cycle, so late applicants face a more competitive pool for fewer spots.
