Letters of Recommendation

Required letters: 3 minimum , 4 maximum

Committee letters: Accepted

In general, we require three letters of evaluation, which may be submitted individually or collected for submission by a prior or current educational institution (“letter packet”). Typically, letters should come from at least one or two instructors at a college or university who know the applicant well enough to write on their behalf. Letters may also come from research mentors, extracurricular or postgraduate advisors, mentors or supervisors. Applicants are permitted to submit a letter prepared by a premedical advisor or committee, either in addition to individual letters, or as a substitute for them if this is the typical practice at their school. The submission of either a committee letter or letter packet fulfills the letter of evaluation requirement.
