Interview Format

Interview Day Overview

The goals of the NYUGLISOM interview program are two-fold: 1) To learn more about applicants' commitment to primary care, personal attributes and interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills utilizing the multiple mini-interview format and an interactive team-based group activity. 2) To provide applicants an opportunity to learn more about our medical education program directly from our academic leaders, faculty, and students. Details about the interview day schedule and virtual format as well as informational video presentations are sent to applicants approximately one week prior to their interview date. Also included are links to a live orientation conducted by the associate dean for admission and a separate, informal 'meet & greet' session hosted by our current students. Interview Invite Timeline

Most schools begin sending invitations September–October on a rolling basis. Earlier is better — submit your primary early. Schools with rolling admissions fill seats throughout the cycle, so late applicants face a more competitive pool for fewer spots.

How to Prepare
