Letters of Recommendation

Required letters: 1 minimum , 6 maximum

Committee letters: Accepted

Required Undergraduate Academic Letters: You must submit 2 letters from classroom professors, at least 1 of whom must have taught biology, chemistry, physics, or a comparable science discipline. We will also accept a committee letter or packet of letters. Required Graduate Academic Letter: ONLY if you are currently or have previously been enrolled in a degree-granting graduate program, you must submit 1 letter of recommendation from a professor or thesis advisor. Students recently accepted to or matriculated into a graduate program are not required to submit a letter. Additional Professional Letters (optional but encouraged): You may submit up to 3 additional letters of recommendation. These letters are optional but encouraged. For optimal consideration, these should be received by MCW before the application is complete. Total number of letters accepted will be 5 (2 undergraduate and 3 optional) or 6 (2 undergraduate, 1 graduate, 3 optional), depending on the applicant's situation.
